Job Description

Lecture the following modules: 

Modules to be taught: Undergraduate level

  • Organizational Learning and Development (Learning and Development Analysis, Assessment Tools, workplace Learning and Development, Instructional Design for Multi Media, education ethics and planning, Cultivating Organizational Learning Culture) Lifelong Learning (Report Writing, Workplace Learning, Policy Studies in Adult education). 

Postgraduate (Master’s and Doctorates) level: 

  • Advanced Adult Education Policy Studies, People and Organizational Development, Diversity at workplace, Strategic organizational theory and Development, Knowledge Management). 
  • In addition the candidate should be able to supervise Masters and PhD theses/Dissertations; Responsible for raising and applying for external research funding, leading research and collaborative research.
  • Assisting the Faculty identifying relevant degree and programmes based on their expertise. Providing community service relevant to the Department and University as whole and broader public.
  • Assisting Junior Lectures in the Department towards conducting research and/ or professional development, where possible.
  • Assisting with the development of non-formal courses when required, recommending and advising on policy matters.
  • Assisting in the assessment of other junior staff (inter faculties).
Requirements
  • A relevant PhD/Doctorates in Adult Education/Training and Development/Governance and Policy Studies in Adult Education/Community Development/original learning and Development from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning with at least (3) years relevant lecturing experience at Senior Lecturer level.
  • A satisfactory record of teaching, research, publication and service to the academic and wider community.
  • Extensive publications in peer reviewed journals, book chapters and research grants is an essential skill for this position.
  • Good knowledge of SPSS or Atlas.ti.
